November 30th
BELATED HAPPY
THANKSGIVING!
NOON UPDATE: More Schedule
Changes, Please Check Pointstreak.
Due to the changes
made to the schedule over the weekend, we were made aware of some other issues
resulting in double headers, etc. so I have made 4 ADDITIONAL changes to the
schedule. Please check Pointstreak for your NEW Schedule as of
11:00 AM on Monday morning, November 30th. Hopefully these
are the last changes………but I wouldn’t count on
it.
I hope everyone enjoyed their “hockey free” holiday
weekend. But some SCHEDULE CHANGES have been made, and
EVERYONE
needs to go to Pointstreak and reprint their schedule. We
moved
Northview/Bello into 2A, and Milton/Hardy into 1A. This
change, and
a few other issues, resulted in several game changes concerning
pairings,
times, and venues. So print your New Schedule and make sure
you
communicate this to all your players and parents.

October 15th
There have been
some
revisions and updates made to the rules. Please Go to the Rules Page
(by clicking here) to review and become familiar with them.

October 5th
THE
SCHEDULES ARE READY !!!
You
may now go onto the Pointstreak GHRA website and view your 2009-2010
Schedule.
DO
NOT PRINT THIS OUT AND DISTRIBUTE IT TO YOUR TEAM.
IT WILL CHANGE
!!!
You
need to check the Pointstreak Schedule often to see what changes have
been
made. YOU are responsible for doing this because even though
we send out
emails when changes are made, the Board is not responsible for making
sure you
get them. The Pointstreak Schedule is
always the OFFICIAL schedule
on any given day.
As
you look over your schedule, I tried to accommodate ALL requests sent
in to me
but some were not able to be honored. (For example
I can’t
block out the entire weekends for Hanukah, Martin Luther King Day,
President’s
Day, and your school’s TWO weekends of Spring Break along
with Halloween,
Thanksgiving weekend, and the three weekends for Christmas/New Years
holidays.
And yes that was one of the requests I
got.)
I
am working with 2 rinks with different block out dates, home rink
preferences
for “Home” games,
travel
times, double headers, band competitions, fireman coach schedules,
several
school systems with different holiday schedules, proms, homecoming, and
some
more crap I won’t even mention.
Oh
yeah, I also had to make sure each team played 14 games against the
correct
opponents in the correct “home” rink for their home
games.
So
to sum it up, I hope your schedule works for you.
I’ve got a
lot of hours in it and I don’t want to hear a lot of
whining.
Tell Little Johnny and Little Susie’s parents to figure
something out,
rework their personal agendas, and play hockey!!
HOWEVER,
if you have overlooked some legitimate High School function, let me
know and I’ll
see what I can do. Email me at tmelton@actionawards.com.
Good
Luck this Season, and Play Nice,
Tommy
Melton
